Minister Emeritus

Bro. Fred Crayton
has been married for over 50 years to his beautiful wife, Ernestine, and they have thirteen children (4 deceased). Ernestine has the sweetest disposition and is a woman of her word. She is an inspiration to many and provides a living illustration of the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31:10-31.

When Bro. Crayton was asked to begin the work at Westside in 1971, there were nine families including his own, but through the grace of God the congregation grew and has maintained a consistent membership! The Crayton's labored with Westside for over 40 years and have touched the hearts of many.

In December 2016, Fred retired and became Minister Emeritus and transitioned the ministerial duties to Elder James Daily.

During his ministry Bro. Crayton would have weekly Bible classes with those he came in contact with throughout the community and believed in the word of God. He would stop at nothing in sharing the gospel and was truly a hard fighting soldier.
